THE EXHIBITION
Ceramics decorate houses and palaces, from tableware to design and décor.
A timeless, contemporary material, enhanced by ceramic masters of excellence, inspired by tradition, and with a long-term knowledge and experience to create beautiful pieces of permanent value.
By celebrating the value of fine ceramic handicraft, this exhibition reinforces the connection with the world of design, hospitality and arts in general, offering a collection of unique objects, limited-edition artworks, the fruit of incomparable and timeless expertise.
With around one hundred ceramic pieces created by masters of art and crafts, this exhibition stands out as the core event dedicated to Made in Europe ceramics at Argillà Italia, not only for the number and importance of the works, but also for the meaning they encompass in their purposes and the cultural heritage they represent.
The exhibition title is therefore inspired by the excellence of European applied arts, as an invitation for the public to rediscover the wisdom of crafts and the of beauty of the objects of daily use as well as fine furnishings, preserved in private art collections and in museums.
The exhibition venue is the spectacular Palazzo del Podestà, for centuries a symbol of sociability and culture, including the art of theatre: an immersive space to experience a common cultural heritage in an immediate and engaging way, in a scenographic and sound setting that overcomes the boundaries between places, works of art and visitors, in the name of a shared European culture
